White House ERASES Video After Blasphemy Backlash…

White House spiritual adviser Paula White sparked outrage and mockery from leftist media after comparing President Trump’s trials to Jesus Christ’s crucifixion during an Easter event, only to have the administration quietly scrub the video from its website amid intense backlash.

White House Easter Event Draws Controversy

Paula White delivered a sermon during a closed-press Easter gathering in the White House East Room that explicitly compared President Trump’s experiences to those of Jesus Christ. White, who has served as Trump’s spiritual adviser since 2017, told the president that “no one has paid the price like you” while drawing parallels to betrayal, arrest, false accusations, and ultimate victory. The event took place on a Wednesday near Palm Sunday and featured prominent evangelical and Catholic leaders including Franklin Graham and Bishop Robert Barron among the invited MAGA allies.

Video Scrubbed After Media Backlash

The White House briefly posted video footage of the event before quietly removing it from the official website. Media outlets described the content as “toe-curling” and coverage quickly spread across platforms including The Daily Beast, Daily Mail, and MSNBC’s Morning Joe. White’s exact words during the sermon included: “It’s a familiar pattern that our Lord and Savior showed us… Because He was victorious, you were victorious.” No official White House comment has been issued regarding the video deletion or the content of White’s remarks.

Trump’s Reaction and Political Context

President Trump appeared to embrace the comparison, smirking during White’s sermon and later joking “They call me king now” when addressing the gathered supporters. The spiritual framing comes as Trump continues navigating legal challenges stemming from his August 2023 arrest in Georgia on election interference charges and builds on evangelical narratives surrounding the July 2024 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, which allies characterized as divine intervention. Franklin Graham sent a letter praising Trump’s role in brokering the recent Israel-Hamas ceasefire, further cementing evangelical support for the administration’s policies.

Media Mockery Versus Evangelical Support

Leftist media outlets seized on White’s remarks as evidence of cultish devotion, with Morning Joe guests openly mocking the spiritual adviser for what they characterized as blasphemy. Critics also targeted Bishop Robert Barron’s attendance, labeling his participation an “exercise in blasphemy.” However, this media outrage misses the broader point that resonates with Trump’s evangelical base: the president has indeed faced unprecedented persecution from political opponents, survived an actual assassination attempt, and continues fighting for policies that protect religious liberty and support Israel. The comparison may be unconventional, but it reflects genuine appreciation from faith leaders for a president who has consistently defended traditional values against relentless attacks.

The controversy highlights the stark divide between coastal elites who mock religious expression and millions of Americans who view Trump as a leader willing to endure suffering for his principles. While mainstream media focuses on perceived overreach, evangelical supporters recognize a president who has delivered on promises including Supreme Court appointments that protect life and religious freedom. The White House’s decision to remove the video appears to prioritize avoiding media circus narratives over standing firmly behind its faith-based supporters, a move that may disappoint the very allies who have remained loyal through years of political warfare.

  1. President Trump certainly has been persecuted by the leftist Democrats for wanting to set America on a more righteous path than that of more recent Democrat presidents. It is obvious that Paula White did not make a direct comparison between what President Trump has experienced and what Jesus suffered. Anyone who thinks they see that in her words, is doing what Democrats often do: reading into words exactly what they want to read, ignoring the reality of the words.
