A pro-Kremlin influencer delivered a startling public warning to Vladimir Putin, claiming ordinary Russians live in fear of their own government and suggesting the president remains dangerously isolated from reality by yes-men who conceal the nation’s economic collapse.
Viral Video Exposes Fear Across Russia
Victoria Bonya, a 46-year-old reality star turned Kremlin supporter, released a video appeal titled “An appeal to Vladimir Putin. From all concerned Russians” that quickly accumulated millions of views. Speaking directly to the Russian leader, she outlined a society paralyzed by fear. “Ordinary people are afraid, bloggers are afraid, artists are afraid,” Bonya stated. “Governors are afraid of you.” The influencer, who currently resides in Monaco, warned Putin that his inner circle shields him from accurate information about conditions inside Russia.
Bonya painted a grim picture of Russia’s economic situation, highlighting the destruction of small and medium-sized businesses while citizens lose their savings. “The most frightening thing is that this is happening because you do not know what is going on in the country,” she told Putin. “You are not being given accurate information.” Her comments drew mixed reactions from Russians, with some praising her courage to speak for ordinary citizens while others called her naive for suggesting Putin remains unaware of the damage inflicted on his own people.

Spring Ready to Snap
The influencer delivered her most chilling warning about the future if current conditions persist. “Do you know what this leads to? I’ll tell you. People will grow tired of being afraid. They are being compressed like a spring, and one day that spring will snap,” Bonya stated. Her appeal comes during a particularly difficult period for Putin. Hungary recently elected Prime Minister Peter Magyar, replacing longtime autocrat Viktor Orban who maintained close ties to Putin and frequently obstructed European Union efforts to support Ukraine and contain Moscow.
War Drains Russian Resources
The ongoing Ukraine conflict continues extracting a heavy toll on Russia’s economy and military capabilities. Sources told the Financial Times in March that Putin has resorted to petitioning oligarchs for donations to fund the war effort. Ukraine announced Tuesday a historic battlefield achievement, forcing Russian forces to surrender a position using exclusively unmanned platforms. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed this marked the first time in the war that ground robots and drones alone captured enemy territory without human soldiers directly involved in the assault.
