Cassidy Hutchinson testified in June 2022 that Trump had lunged at the steering wheel and attempted to physically force his security detail to drive him to the Capitol during the riots. She claimed this information was relayed to her by Tony Ornato, a top White House security aide, and was corroborated by Secret Service agent Bobby Engel. However, multiple Secret Service agents, including Engel and the driver, have come forward to dispute Hutchinson's account.
