2020 Democrat Joe Biden has done all he can to duck and dodge the allegations from his former Senate staffer, Tara Reade. Towards the end of March, Reade appeared on the Katie Halper podcast and stated that Biden forced his fingers inside of her in 1993 when she worked for him.
Earlier this month, a 1993 call into Larry King Live resurfaced; in this call, Reade’s mother is heard asking King how her daughter should deal with problems she faced from an unnamed “prominent senator.”
Biden’s campaign has staunchly denied Reade’s accusations; however, Biden himself has yet to directly come forward with any contradictions. While the presumptive Democrat Party nominee may wish to avoid these claims, they’re not going away.
As a matter of fact, Washington Examiner reports that an increasing number of individuals are calling on Biden to directly address Reade’s rape allegations against him.
Growing Calls for Biden to Speak Out on Rape Allegations
On Monday, Tara Reade spoke to Washington Examiner and stated that Biden himself needs to address her accusations. Reade’s statements to the conservative publication came after she filed a complaint with Washington D.C. police. Shortly after the call from Reade’s mother resurfaced, several Bernie Bros and other non-establishment Democrats urged Biden to suspend his campaign.
Reade is not alone in her calls for Biden to stop hiding his campaign and directly confront her rape allegations. Yesterday, the Washington Post editorial board supported Reade’s position, declaring that the former vice president needs to directly respond and explain himself.
Apparently “believe all women” only goes one way, and doesn’t apply if you’re aggressively running for VP.

Washington Post furthermore noted that a straightforward acknowledgment from Biden (without him hiding behind his campaign) would show that he takes sexual assault allegations and victims seriously.
Additional sources suggest that women’s advocacy groups are hoping for a statement from Biden; however, these groups, along with feminist organizations and others, remain silent and have yet to condemn Biden as they would condemn a Republican facing similar accusations.
If Biden is innocent, he should order his Senate papers to be unsealed to see what exists regarding Tara Reade. He is 100 percent allowed to do that. If he's innocent, those papers should prove it.
