The infamous “Squad” of freshmen Democrats continues to express their hatred for America whilst simultaneously engaging in a back-and-forth with President Trump. Last week, the president published a series of tweets in which he urged the congresswomen to return to their countries of origin if they dislike America. This subsequently prompted a political firestorm with various Trump critics leaping at the opportunity to refer to the president of the United States as a racist.
Rep. Ilhan Omar, 1/4th of the unpopular “Squad” has chosen to proceed feuding with the president. Towards the end of last week, the congresswoman proudly declared that she will persist in serving as President Trump’s “nightmare.” Obviously, the idea that one freshmen congresswoman could be the “nightmare” of the commander-in-chief is loftily ambitious.
On Friday, President Trump weighed in on Omar’s commentary, as documented by Fox News.
The Response from the President
Omar and other members of “The Squad” routinely go after the president and then cry victim when he responds in kind. It truly seems as though these freshmen Democrats lack political awareness. They don’t seem to understand that censure is a two way street and can always be returned. Apparently, the congresswomen are going to have to keep banging their heads against the wall until they get the message.
President Trump’s response to Omar’s claim that she will remain as his “nightmare” was delivered to reporters and reads as follows:
“I’m unhappy when a congresswoman goes and says, ‘I’m going to be the president’s nightmare.’ She’s going to be the president’s nightmare? She’s lucky to be where she is, let me tell you…and the things that she has said are a disgrace to our country.”
Omar’s many horrific statements include calling to defund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), blaming America for the crisis in Venezuela, and dismissing 9/11 as “some people did something.” She’s also made various anti-Semitic statements and offered lackluster apologies after being pretty much forced to by higher-ups within the Democrat Party.
The Nightmare of the Democrats
Omar may very well believe that she is President Trump’s “nightmare,” but this simply couldn’t be further from reality. The truth of the matter is that Omar and all of the other radical progressives like her are the nightmare of the Democrats.
Over the past few weeks, moderates have been coming to terms with just how damaging and extreme progressives are. They’ve been attempting to rein in progressives, but to no avail. The Democrat Party will continue to crumble as a result of loose cannons like Omar.
