Trump on Tulsi Gabbard: I Give Her "A Lot of Respect!"

The impeachment hoax which Democrats have chosen to wage against President Trump has been deeply partisan and unmerited from the jump. As a matter of fact, House Democrats went so far off the deep end that even certain members of their own party dissented from the pro-impeachment narrative and decided that enough was enough.

House Rep. Jeff Van Drew actually switched from the Democrat Party to the Republican Party, while fellow Rep. Tulsi Gabbard voted “present” on impeachment. Gabbard would later state that she couldn’t vote for or against impeachment in her “good conscience.”

Despite taking flak from some of the radical leftists in her party, Gabbard has apparently earned respect from President Trump. On Saturday, while speaking before a Turning Point USA audience, the president commended Gabbard for not voting on impeachment, per reports from the Washington Examiner.

A Closer Look at Trump’s Remarks on Tulsi Gabbard

President Trump’s statements about the 2020 Democrat came after he censured Hillary Clinton for claiming that Gabbard and Jill Stein are “Russian assets.”

Trump stated that he gives Gabbard “respect” for the manner in which she chose to vote; the president also followed up his accolades of the war veteran by declaring that she knew the impeachment sham wasn’t right. Finally, Trump expressed that while he doesn’t personally know Tulsi Gabbard, he does know she isn’t an agent of Russia.

See for yourself:

Since voting ‘present’ on impeachment, Gabbard has come out and censured the divisiveness of partisan-driven proceedings of this nature. Moreover, the 2020 Democrat expressed that her vote wasn’t “passive,” but rather an act of “protest” and her decision to put “country first.”

More on Tulsi Gabbard’s Campaign to Become President

While Gabbard did not qualify to appear on the sixth Democrat debate stage, this doesn’t seem to have stopped her. The combat army veteran is still campaigning to become the 46th president of the United States and hosting various events.

According to emails from the Tulsi 2020 campaign, Gabbard has a December 2019 fundraising goal of reaching at least one million dollars in donations. Thus far, the 2020 Democrat is more than 70% on the way to reaching this benchmark.

Earlier this morning, Tulsi Gabbard posted a video to her social media profiles in which she speaks out against the Afghanistan war. As a veteran herself, Gabbard stressed the need for “accountability” and cited the war itself as a “betrayal of the American people.”
