Texas is a state that both Trump and Biden have campaigned to win during the 2020 presidential election.
For some unknown reason, Biden and his campaign staffers decided that the Lone Star State was an area that he actually had a shot of winning. Despite Texas’ conservative roots and history of voting Republican, the Biden campaign has still poured resources into flipping the state blue.
President Trump is also campaigning in the Lone Star State, though he’s having much better results. As a matter of fact, sources confirm that the 45th president is leading Biden in a new Texas poll.
A Closer Look at Trump’s Lead Over Biden in Texas
According to a brand new poll from CBS News, the president has 48% support in Texas; meanwhile, Biden comes in behind at just 46%.
When breaking down the specifics of the poll, it becomes more and more apparent that Texans are largely on board with what the president has to offer America, not Joe Biden. 48% of likely Texas voters trust Trump more than Biden when it comes to security and safety; only 42% share a similar outlook on the former vice president.

This data pattern continues to maintain when breaking down other important issues in our nation. 50% stated that President Trump will do a better job with the U.S. economy, while just 42% feel this way about Biden.
Findings from the new poll are also publicized after first daughter Ivanka Trump attended a fundraiser in the Lone Star State last week to campaign for the 45th president.
The Final Weeks of the 2020 Election
The 2020 presidential election is rapidly approaching its home stretch. However, last week’s passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg is being largely viewed as a reset or gamechanger in the current presidential race.
A new issue to arise in the final weeks of the election is who should make the selection to occupy the now-empty seat that once belonged to Ginsberg. Republicans are saying that failing to act now would enable a constitutional crisis later with a 4-4 Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, Democrats are stating that the next president should have the opportunity to select a new installment…and even expand the Supreme Court. The GOP, however, has indicated that they are moving to fill Ginsberg’s seat as early as this week.
