Law enforcement remains under siege from the political left. Democrat-run cities across the nation are now on a mission to withdraw funding from their police departments while leaving lawful citizens at the mercy of some dangerous individuals.
As the left condemns and vilifies law enforcement, conservatives and the Trump administration are doing precisely the opposite. Right-wingers across the nation are showing support for police and combatting the left’s calls to scrap funding for police departments.
President Trump has already garnered a series of endorsements from law enforcement groups. Meanwhile, his administration remains committed to supporting police and the amazing work they do.
Earlier this week, Vice President Mike Pence confirmed that the Trump administration will increase resources and funding for police across the nation, according to Breitbart News.
A Closer Look at the Trump Administration’s Support for Law Enforcement
While interviewing with Breitbart News’ editor-in-chief Alex Marlow, the vice president faced questions about the repair of cities currently plagued by mob violence, lawlessness, and crime.
Pence responded with an affirmation that the Trump administration is upholding the “core obligation” to preserve law and order across the nation. This is why state police and federal officers are being sent out to various crime-ridden communities like Chicago, Portland, etc.

While speaking with Marlow, Pence also noted that an increased presence of law enforcement in certain communities has caused a decrease in disturbances.
Additionally, the vice president explained that the Trump administration will “back the blue” and increase resources and funding for law enforcement. The Trump administration will also work to improve relationships between police and communities they serve.
The Dark Irony of Defunding the Police
Over the past few weeks, an increasing number of reports have surfaced of liberal-run cities seeking to defund, if not completely abolish the police in their communities.
The issue with this is that defunding the police leaves people most in need at the greatest risk. Furthermore, criminals who are aware of a community’s lack of law enforcement are likelier to act without fear of repercussions.

Democrats’ interest in withdrawing funding from police departments has led to certain reports of them being the “pro-criminal” party. This perception of the left is also advanced by their own presidential nominee’s support for “redirecting” funding from the police.
