Over the past few years, an anti-police culture has festered due to lies about law enforcement from leftists. As the lies spread, various individuals have taken it upon themselves to decide that police officers are terrible people and worthy of scorn. The false narrative has even made it in the media; entire films are made based upon the premise that law enforcement members are evil and out to terrorize people of color.

As anti-police culture spreads, law enforcement officers are constantly being disrespected. A most recent example of this occurred on Thanksgiving. According to Breitbart News, a group of 911 dispatchers entered into an Oklahoma-based Starbucks to order coffee; however, when the officers received their cups, they saw that the barista wrote “pig” on them.
Since the incident, Starbucks has announced that the barista is “no longer a partner” with the company.
Everything You Need to Know
Following the aforementioned incident, the dispatchers alerted Kiefer Police Chief Johnny O’Mara of the incident. O’Mara subsequently contacted the Starbucks location where the event transpired and spoke with the manager of the premises.
Despite the manager’s apology, the Kiefer police chief uploaded photos of the cups labels on social media; needless to say, the photos spread like wildfire.
On the day after Thanksgiving, Starbucks put out a statement censuring the behavior of their employee; the company declared that such conduct was “offensive to all law enforcement” and “not representative of the deep appreciation” which Starbucks holds for members of the law enforcement community.
One of the 911 dispatchers also reported that the now ex-Starbucks barista made contact with him and stated that the “pig” labels were just a joke.
How to Combat Anti-Police Culture
The truth of the matter is this: the same folks who brand law enforcement officers as “pigs” and terrible people will be the first ones to call them when danger arrives. Police officers consistently put their lives on the line, even for individuals who hate them and scream for them to die.

Continuing to crack down on anti-police culture is the best way to combat it. Each person is entitled to their own viewpoints, but when it reaches the level of harassing officers in public or writing “pig” on their coffee labels, that’s when action needs to be taken.
This isn’t the first time that law enforcement officers have faced disrespect at a Starbucks establishment either.
