Anyone who’s been paying attention is aware of the ongoing government shutdown which went into effect last Friday. The shutdown occurred as a result of Democratic leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi refusing to work with President Trump on reasonable border security measures.
Shortly after the government shutdown, Schumer and Pelosi issued a joint statement. The two liberals faulted the president for the “Trump Shutdown” while reaffirming their refusal to provide funding for a border wall.
What is Nancy Pelosi Doing During the Gov’t Shutdown
According to the Washington Beacon, Pelosi is spending her holidays at a luxurious resort in Hawaii. Lodging accommodations cost between $899 per night and $4,899 per night. The resort also includes multiple restaurants, a golf course, and spa treatments.
While Pelosi enjoys her time in Hawaii, President Trump remains at the White House. On Monday morning, the president tweeted out, stating that he is by himself and waiting for the Democrats to work with him on border security.
I am all alone (poor me) in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come back and make a deal on desperately needed Border Security. At some point the Democrats not wanting to make a deal will cost our Country more money than the Border Wall we are all talking about. Crazy!

Perhaps it would have been better for Pelosi to enjoy a vacation AFTER coming to an agreement with the president on border security. However, Democrats have made their unwillingness to work with Trump more than clear.
What do you think about Pelosi’s luxurious vacation in Hawaii? Should she be working with President Trump in order to cut a deal on border security and reopen the United States government? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
