At the current point in the 2020 election, Democrat candidates are eager to take out the competition which they view as a most credible threat. This inevitably means that the leading candidates who are neck-in-neck with one another will begin to throw various shots and criticisms. Ultimately, this is done with the intention of weakening their opponents in the eyes of leftist voters.

In an interview which published yesterday, socialist and 2020 Democrat Bernie Sanders took aim at Joe Biden. Sanders branded Biden’s political record as too “weak” and lacking the “excitement and energy” to make Trump a one-term president. According to Fox News, Sanders also thinks there should be more focus on “sweeping change,” and less on a candidate’s “electability.”
A Sanders campaign staffer also recently took shots at candidates Pete Buttigieg and Elizabeth Warren.
A Closer Look at Sanders’ Take on Biden’s Record
When speaking with the Washington Post, the socialist opined that Biden carries a significant amount of “baggage” into the 2020 election.
This came shortly before Sanders also hit the former vice president for his prior backing of NAFTA. Ultimately, Sanders made the case that Biden’s “baggage” and “weak” record ultimately creates a losing combination for the Democrat Party, if the latter wins the nomination.
Sanders also didn’t hesitate to share thoughts on what he believes the American people are tired of. According to the socialist, folks in this nation are over politicians who are “running to wealthy people’s homes” and raising capital for their campaigns.
Not long after Sanders’ commentary about Biden, the socialist’s campaign staffers shared similar criticisms about Warren and Buttigieg. Apparently, the senator and former South Bend mayor are more concerned with catering to “that wine cave, kind of limousine Democrat” over working-class voters. The Sanders aide also informed the Washington Post that Sanders and Biden share a similar audience of working-class Democrats.
Two Peas in a Pod
When discussing the quality of political records, Sanders and Biden might as well be two peas in a pod. Both Democrats have questionable stains on their records and neither one is in a position to judge the other.

For his part, Sanders’ record is comprised of socialist talking points and demonizing the wealthy while he himself owns three homes. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with wealth or owning multiple homes; however, there is everything wrong with flagrant hypocrisy. Sanders gets on his high horse, preaching to his impressionable followers about the horrors of capitalism as he benefits from living in a capitalist society.
