Throughout the coronavirus “pandemic,” members of the Democrat Party have repeatedly asserted that President Trump failed the nation.
One of the most common left-wing talking points is that Trump didn’t act soon enough, hence causing more COVID-19 deaths. Furthermore, Democrats have also claimed that the Trump administration failed to work with states and provide the necessary quantity of supplies and resources, such as personal protection equipment.
Many Americans might think that Democrats truly believe this; however, the left’s negative assessment of the president’s response to coronavirus is contradictory to…themselves. In fact, certain Democrat governors and leaders have actually praised the president’s response to the virus.
This is something that conservatives reminded the nation of during Monday night of the GOP National Convention, as documented by Breitbart News.
A Closer Look at Democrats’ Praise of Trump’s Response to Coronavirus
Last night, the RNC displayed video footage of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo lauding the president’s reaction to COVID-19. Cuomo is seen and heard stating that the Trump administration was “on it” and working as hard as possible to contain the virus.

Believe it or not, the New York governor is not the only Democrat to praise the job of the president. Cuomo’s California counterpart, Gavin Newsom, is also on record lauding the president and his administration’s response to the virus.
Like Cuomo, Governor Newsom also confirmed that President Trump’s administration “followed through” on promises made. The California governor then praised the president’s response to coronavirus and individuals on various cruise ships.
Why is the Left Attacking Trump’s Response to Coronavirus?
Democrats’ attacks against the Trump administration’s response are about politics. As the 2020 presidential election continues, the left is very eager to get Joe Biden into office. In order to make this happen (or at least try), demonizing the president is a political necessity.

It’s unlikely that Cuomo and Newsom expected their praise of the president to be shared at the Republican National Convention. Conservatives will have much more to share with the nation tonight, tomorrow night, and Thursday night.
New speakers will take the stage tonight to communicate with Americans and push for four more years of President Trump in office.
