To say that the vast majority of Hollywood is deeply left-wing would be as obvious as stating that the sky is blue. It clearly goes without saying that most celebrities, singers, actors, and actresses, etc., don’t appear to be in President Trump’s fan club. The few individuals in Hollywood who are conservative or supportive of the current president often feel as though they can’t speak up for fear of being shunned or blacklisted from the industry.
The extent to which Hollywood despises President Trump is on full display once again. Pop star Rihanna recently sat down for an interview with Vogue. During this time, she spoke about a variety of issues, including politics and President Trump, as documented by Breitbart News. The singer didn’t hesitate to opine that the president is the “most mentally ill human being in America.”
Rihanna has previously spoken out against the 45th president for using her music at his so-called “tragic rallies.”
A Closer Look at Rihanna’s Statements on President Trump
During Rihanna’s interview with Vogue, she weighed in on mass shootings and gun control. The singer stated that it’s “not normal” for Americans to be dying from weapons that are purchased legally. She then accused President Trump of racism, stating that if a non-white shooter committed a mass shooting, Trump wouldn’t cite mental illness as the problem.
So, in essence, Rihanna’s take on the president and guns in America encompasses the typical left-wing talking points.
Her precise statements read as follows:
“People are being murdered by war weapons that they legally purchase. This is just not normal. That should never, ever be normal. The fact that it’s classified as something different because of the color of their skin? It’s a slap in the face. It’s completely racist. Put an Arab man with that same weapon in that same Walmart and there is no way that Trump would sit there and address it publicly as a mental health problem.”
Mental Health Issues and Mass Shootings
As seen by the statements in Rihanna’s interview, when mass shootings happen, left-wingers tend to blame the gun, rather than the individual behind it. Guns have been around for quite some time, but mass shootings have not.
The reality here is that mental health issues do truly play a role in mass shootings and other issues which presently exist in society. If leftists could drop the rabid gun control agenda for two seconds and actually assess matters objectively, they’d realize that guns are not inherently good or evil. A gun, itself, cannot commit a crime; the individual holding the gun can use it to commit crimes and save lives.
Furthermore, the singer’s classification of Trump as a “racist” should come as a shock to no one. Whenever left-wingers know they’re losing or simply have nothing else to say, “racism” becomes the buzzword of attack.
