As per usual with Democrats, they believe that calling something free and demanding handouts for certain groups of individuals will solve problems.
Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has adopted this ideology, thus calling for thousands of dollars of money to be freely given to various Americans, as documented by Fox News. Of course, there are countless flaws within this plan, but Tlaib either doesn’t realize or doesn’t care.
Either way, there are no free lunches in life.
Reviewing Tlaib’s Push for Free Money
The freshman House representative believes that simply giving people between $3,000 and $6,000 for nothing will help the economy. During a recent interview with Fox, Tlaib shared the following statement regarding her plan:
“This is basically a broader umbrella for families that make $50,000 or less if you are single, or $100,000 or less if you are a family.”
What Tlaib conveniently declined to mention is the rippling impact this would have on the American economy. First and foremost, prices overall would undoubtedly increase, hence counteracting the purpose of free handouts altogether. Secondly, individuals whose earnings hover only slightly above the requirements for Tlaib’s handouts would actually lose money, due to the aforementioned increase in prices.

Tlaib also doesn’t seem to realize that money does not print on trees or appear out of thin air. Chances are, American taxpayers would end up footing the bill for her plan in one way or another. This is a prime example of why handouts, big government, and simply throwing money at problems doesn’t work.
Dependency on Big Government
Time and time again, we see that Democrats view the almighty big government as a solution to issues. In reality, extreme government intervention has a tendency to cause or worsen issues, not solve them.
This is another manner in which Democrats continue to become more radical and extreme. Not a day goes by where there isn’t at least one Democrat publically calling for or supporting legislation which would only infringe upon freedom and liberty.
