House Democrats have failed the American people on all levels. Rather than doing their jobs, House Democrats made it their mission to go after President Trump and push for impeachment. As leftist congressmembers embark on this path, they’re failing to maturely work with colleagues and help pass legislation which could truly better Americans’ lives; this is something which House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has shed light upon multiple times.

It turns out that certain House Democrats should’ve made sure they had all their ducks in a row before targeting the president. Rep. Rashida Tlaib is currently under fire for campaign finance violations, a matter which the House Ethics Committee is presently investigating, according to Breitbart News.
A Review of the Campaign Finance Violations Probe
Apparently, Tlaib saw fit to seek campaign donations in order to ease her personal burdens with money. The congresswoman also didn’t have any issues with making this request in writing on multiple occasions; to date, the House Ethics Committee has published messages of Tlaib seeking campaign money for the purpose of handling personal matters. It doesn’t take a genius to realize that this is frowned upon and not allowed.
In August of last year, Tlaib reached out to her current chief-of-staff Ryan Anderson in order to learn if her congressional campaign could “pay [her] a stipend.” Anderson’s message back to Tlaib shows him agreeing to a stipend, with the caveat of Tlaib “clearly [defining] [her] time and space.” In another message, Tlaib confesses to Anderson that she will not “make it through the campaign” without being granted a stipend.
The precise sum of money which she requested was “$2,000 per two weeks but not exceeding $12,000.” Tlaib admitted that the aforementioned funds would go to payments for childcare, her car, and additional areas.
What Happens Now?
The probe into the extent of Tlaib’s campaign finance violations is still ongoing and underway. The congresswoman has yet to come forward with a public statement regarding the extent of her violations or why she deemed them as appropriate.

House Democrats have been very vocal about the ways they believe the president broke the law, whilst staying notably silent about proven corruption within their own ranks. Perhaps the left would be better off making sure they have their own house in order before pointing fingers and casting stones.
