The second half of April has marked a rise against governors who are ordering citizens to remain home. Put simply, Americans are fed up. People want to get back to work, be able to support their livelihoods, and remain afloat.
Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam has ordered state residents to remain under stay home orders until June 10. Needless to say, the governor has taken some heat for this. Multiple protests have broken out in the state; furthermore, Virginians are very clear in their need to get back to work.
New developments from Breitbart News confirm what Virginia residents think about their governor. To say that state residents had some scathing remarks for Gov. Northam would be a massive understatement.
Protesters vs. Gov. Northam
The Virginia governor is being slammed as a tyrant while multiple state citizens call for his resignation. Additionally, anti-shutdown protests are accusing Northam of lying to residents and failing to do what is in their best interests.

One protester who went to Richmond’s ReOpen Virginia rally blasted Gov. Northam for limiting “the hardworking, good, honest Virginia citizen.” The protester also stated that while he’s OK with certain commonsense protective measures, the state of Virginia hasn’t demonstrated actions that are in keeping with common sense.
This is a growing sentiment, not only in Virginia, but across additional states with restrictive shutdown measures.
Growing Pushback Against Democrat Governors
As GOP governors gradually roll back certain restrictions in their states, their Democrat counterparts seem all too happy to keep trampling on Americans’ rights. This has prompted the rise of lawsuits, police officers who won’t enforce governors’ orders, and more.

What’s happening right now is not reasonable or sustainable. This month alone should be sending a message to all governors that people are not going to deal with shutdowns anymore.
