Tension between various wings of the Democrat Party is not new.
Over the past few years, progressives have become more and more vocal about the changes they’d like to see amongst Democrats. Of course, these changes involve the implementation of radical socialism, coupled with the rewriting of American society as we all know it.

The 2020 presidential election has drawn new attention towards certain differences between various members of the left-wing. Democrats did not get the massive blue wave that they’d hoped for; not only did Republicans maintain control of the Senate, but the GOP also expanded its number of House seats.
In the wake of all this House Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is lashing out at Democrats for not advancing progressivism within the party, confirms Breitbart News.

No Blue Wave

Ocasio-Cortez expressed her frustrations with the Democrat Party during an interview with the New York Times.
The New York Democrats stated that her party didn’t do better in congressional races, due to a lack of campaigning on policies that she views as appropriately progressive. Of course, it is no secret that these policies include defunding law enforcement and moving in a Green New Deal.

Before implying that she may not remain in politics for the long term, Ocasio-Cortez opined that the Democrat Party lacks the “core competencies” to build widespread support separate from the DNC. The congresswoman then claimed that there is no dollar amount that can make up for the incompetence of establishment Democrats.

A Radical Socialist Plan for America

Despite Ocasio-Cortez’s insistent claims that Democrats are not “progressive” enough, much of the nation views the Democrats of today as radical and extreme.
This is something that the Democrat Party has caused, based on what they’ve aligned themselves with; look no further than the left’s support for Black Lives Matter. On numerous accusations, Black Lives Matter has chanted for the murder of police officers; they’ve also expressed an interest in completely dismantling the nuclear family.

Pair that with Democrats’ support for socialized medicine, higher taxes, and more government intervention at every level, and there you have it. Progressives like the Democrat congresswoman, nonetheless, continue putting pressure on the Democrat Party to move further and further to the left.
