Although the president will make the aforementioned announcement later this month, his re-election campaign has still been active for a while. Members of the campaign have already shed insight on their feelings about the upcoming election and furthermore, their perceptions of Democrat contenders.
The Trump 2020 campaign branded Democrat hopefuls as a “homogenous group of socialists” very recently. The Democrats’ support of socialism is yet another theme which is bound to come up when the president faces off against the chosen Democrat nominee.
What to Expect
Thus far, there are nearly two dozen Democrats who are striving to achieve their party’s nomination. While many of the Democrats are struggling to rise above the single digits in polls, former Vice President Joe Biden is presently leading. Bernie Sanders is a close second, although Biden’s lead is significant and by the double digits. Sanders has a way to go before he catches up with Biden and furthermore, the president has already predicted that he will wind up running against Biden in the general election.
