As we all get closer and closer to Election Day, Democrats continue pushing for vote-by-mail. The argument for this system asserts that in-person voting is too dangerous, due to the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
This argument might be slightly more believable, if not for the past two-and-a-half weeks. Hundreds of individuals have taken to the streets since Memorial Day; throwing social distancing to the wind, we’ve all seen these people gather closely together, march, riot, and even set buildings on fire.
If people can congregate in the streets and churches because of George Floyd’s death, then Americans can vote at the ballot box, even if that means setting the boxes six feet apart from one another.
Rather than be intellectually consistent, however, the left is instead choosing to point the finger. This explains why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently claimed that Republicans are “afraid” of voters, as documented by Breitbart News.
Pelosi on Republicans and Voters in America
During a CNN interview, the House Speaker wasted no time in spreading mistruths about the Republican Party.
Pelosi alleged that Republicans fear “the vote” and are therefore using this fear as a reason to push back against vote-by-mail. Later in the interview, the Speaker also remarked about voter suppression, tying this to the GOP as well.
Speaker Pelosi: "If you saw the Republican playbook on voter suppression you would see that there's a plan here that says 'we're afraid of the vote — we're going to do everything we can to limit it.'" pic.twitter.com/3Lj7mPLcSv

As per usual, the House Speaker got it wrong. Republicans are not afraid of American voters; the GOP is merely able to recognize vote-by-mail for the sham that it is. There is no conclusive reason why Americans cannot go to the ballot boxes and vote in person.
In-person voting is much more secure than vote-by-mail, regardless of what Democrats say. If the left wanted people to believe that no one could safely gather, they shouldn’t have allowed and encouraged rioters to run amuck. That immediately terminated any footing that the left had to claim that public gatherings aren’t safe.
