Omar Blames NRA for Virginia Shooting, NRA Claps Back!

Yesterday, a tragedy took place in the form of a shooting in Virginia.
DeWayne Craddock, a city employee who previously worked for the Public Utilities Department, took it upon himself to open fire in public. Craddock’s actions resulted in four injuries and 12 deaths, as documented by Fox News.
Now, whenever a tragedy involving firearms takes place, Democrats never hesitate to seize it as an opportunity to campaign for the infringement of Second Amendment rights. Rep. Ilhan Omar demonstrated and continued this pattern after attacking the National Rifle Association (NRA) for Craddock’s misdeeds. However, Omar’s careless words prompted a very thought-provoking response from the NRA!

Reviewing the Shooting and Following Responses

At this time, authorities are still investigating the motives behind Craddock’s murderous actions. His shootings took place in the Virginia Beach municipal building and while his motives are still unknown, it has been determined that his firearms were purchased legally. Craddock subsequently died in a gunfight with police officers.
Now, Ilhan Omar took it upon herself to weigh in on these unfortunate events; of course, she blamed the NRA for the actions of a man who isn’t even a card-carrying member of the organization.
See for yourself:

Shortly thereafter, this tweet engendered a response from Dana Loesch, a spokesperson for the NRA. Loesch questioned how an entire organization bore responsibility for Craddock’s actions, particularly in light of his lack of connection to the NRA.
In Loesch’s own words:

Faulting the NRA for Public Shootings

Unfortunately, Democrats still continue to blame the NRA whenever a crime with firearms takes place. If Democrats had their way, the NRA would be dismantled tomorrow and yet the left-wing still fails to understand that one organization is not accountable for the crimes of others. Either Democrats truly don’t understand this or they’re simply strawmanning because they think it will help them politically.
Instead of looking to politicize such a great tragedy, perhaps Omar and others within her party should focus on the bodies which haven’t even become cold yet.
