Time and time again, Biden continues to prove to America that he is unfit to become the 46th president of the United States. The people of this country have witnessed this reality in Biden’s policies and his multiple gaffes.
To be clear, Biden has confused former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher for Theresa May, claimed that he was still vice president in 2018, and stated that “poor kids are just as bright and talented as white kids.” Yesterday, Biden even confused the states in which he gave a speech blasting President Trump.
The multiple Biden blunders have caused his own aides to cringe and run damage control. As Democrats worry about whether Biden is truly formidable enough to take on President Trump, a new development from Fox News reports that even former President Obama did not believe that Biden should run for office. Obama reportedly conveyed his thoughts to Biden earlier this year.
Why Didn’t Obama Want Biden to Run for Office?
Apparently, Obama urged Biden against running for president twice: both in 2016 and earlier this year. During the last presidential election season, Biden wanted to run, but Obama convinced him not to do so, believing that Hillary Clinton would be better suited to take on then-candidate Trump; we all know how that one turned out!
Apparently, Clinton’s loss to Trump did not change Obama’s mind on the notion of Biden running for office. Months ago, the 44th president reportedly communicated the following message to Biden:
“You don’t have to do this, Joe, you really don’t.”
No Obama Endorsement for Biden 2020
If Obama truly didn’t want Biden to run for president, this would explain why the 44th president has yet to come out and endorse his former running mate. Reports have also alleged that Obama does not want Biden to ruin his legacy and views many of Biden’s staffers as out of touch with the present political climate.
As Biden fights throughout the primary season of the 2020 presidential election, he continues to fall back on his time as Obama’s vice president. This is actually something which 2020 Democrat Cory Booker called Biden out for during the second primary debate; Booker slammed Biden telling the latter that he invokes Obama more than any other Democrat running for office. Booker also stated that Biden can’t mention Obama when it suits him and then shy away when it doesn’t.
