The left-wing’s politicization of mass shootings is an unfortunate reality. They are so eager to push for gun control that they’ll do and say just about anything. As long as Democrats can get their way and promote their political narratives, the facts mean absolutely nothing to them. This is actually quite unfortunate and it speaks volumes about where the left-wing stands as of right now.
Matters have worsened for the Democrats, in the wake of a resolution passed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. The resolution ultimately maintains that the National Rifle Association (NRA) is a “domestic terrorist organization” and worthy of being classified as such, reports Fox News.
This flagrant mischaracterization shouldn’t come as a shock, however; leftists love employing the government to bully their political adversaries. San Francisco’s claim about the NRA comes in the wake of a recent mass shooting in Midland and Odessa Texas.
Reviewing the Anti-NRA Resolution
In a nutshell, the San Francisco resolution pushes a narrative which asserts the NRA as dangerous and complicit in the existence of mass shootings; this is actually very interesting on multiple counts. First and foremost, not a single members of the NRA has committed a mass shooting, a detail which Democrats purposefully ignore.
Secondly, the NRA is comprised of millions of good, upstanding Americans who value the constitutional right to bear arms. At this point, anyone, regardless of political affiliations, should know that pointing the finger at the NRA each time a shooting happens accomplishes nothing at all.
Despite this, the San Francisco board had no issue with promoting their resolution and passing it on Tuesday. Throughout the resolution, the NRA is wrongfully accused of “[inciting] gun owners to acts of violence.” The organization’s “influence” and “promotion of gun ownership” are additional details which the San Francisco board views as problematic.
Ultimately, the San Francisco board is aiming to shut down the NRA altogether.
“The City and County of San Francisco should take every reasonable step to limit those entities who do business with the City and County of San Francisco from doing business with this domestic terrorist organization.”
Distractions and Political Games
The latest stunt pulled by the San Francisco board speaks volumes about their lack of interest in finding real solutions. Instead, the Democrats are merely invested in their agenda to demonize lawful gun owners and conservatives who value the Second Amendment. If Democrats truly cared about gun violence, they’d focus on mental health and other matters instead of blaming lawful, Constitution-loving Americans.
