The left-wing has an unfortunate habit of going after conservatives and lawful gun owners whenever a mass shooting takes place. Sadly, the Democrat Party still has yet to learn that faulting law-abiding citizens for the acts of rouge criminals is neither smart nor effective. Last month, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors declared the National Rifle Association (NRA) as a “domestic terrorist organization.” This time, however, the left has bitten off more than they can chew.
On Monday, the NRA hit the San Francisco city, county, and Board of Supervisors with a lawsuit in response to the aforementioned declaration. Fox News reports that the NRA’s lawsuit faults San Francisco for breaching the association’s free speech rights and furthermore attempting to shun entities which choose to work with the NRA in the San Francisco area.

In a nutshell, the NRA filed their lawsuit within the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and ultimately urged the court to uphold freedom of speech rights.
This is something which the San Francisco Board of Supervisors undoubtedly violated when they brazenly accused the NRA of “[inciting] gun owners to acts of violence” and urged the U.S. government and other cities and states across America to brand the NRA as a “domestic terrorist organization.
The NRA’s lawsuit presents a very strong case and, at this point, victory is virtually inevitable.
Hypocrisy and Open Discrimination Against the NRA
Whenever a leftist has a microphone, a stage, and people who are willing to hear them out, they often talk about the perils of discrimination. However, as seen above in the NRA’s lawsuit, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors is calling for the NRA to be subjected to discrimination.
The “domestic terrorist organization” label could also serve as grounds for a libel, slander, or defamation of character lawsuit. Upholding the Second Amendment is not evil and punishing law-abiding citizens for the acts of violent psychopaths is not good, nor does it cut back on crime.
As time passes, Democrats have finally ceased their “we don’t want to take your guns” nonsense. 2020 hopeful Beto O’Rourke admitted last month that “that’s exactly what we’re going to do.” Other Democrats running for the White House are supportive of mandatory buyback programs and additional measures which infringe upon Second Amendment rights. This explains why organizations like the NRA are under siege for crimes which they, nor their members, have never committed.
