National Emergency? Trump Will Make 'Major Announcement' On Border Crisis This Afternoon

As the government shutdown remains ongoing, House Democrats continue to refuse funding for President Trump’s promised border wall. This political temper tantrum has engendered the longest government shutdown in the history of the United States. While President Trump repeatedly urges the Democrats to come back from their fancy vacations and work with him on reopening government, Democrats have made it more than clear that they’re simply not interested.
Therefore, the president of the United States recently posted the following update regarding the crisis at the Southern border:

The Crisis at the Southern Border

Both President Trump and Democratic leaders continue to stand by their positions. Neither side is willing to relent, although the crisis at the border continues to get more and more serious. It doesn’t help to know that yet another migrant caravan is currently making their way to the United States. To anyone who’s been paying attention, it’s more than apparent that something has to be done.
At this time, what the president will say during his upcoming announcement is unknown. However, based upon his tweet, we do know that it will pertain to the situation at the Southern border. In the past few weeks, Trump has discussed declaring a national emergency in order to get the wall built. Right now, there’s no confirmation or denial that his announcement will entail the declaration of a national emergency, but at this point, it seems quite plausible.
