If there was even the slightest indication that Democrats truly believe the president committed wrongdoing, that indication disappeared when the Speaker of the House decided to sit on impeachment articles.
Throughout the impeachment process, leftist lawmakers have told everyone and their mother about how evil and dangerous they think the president is. This talk has remained consistent despite all existing evidence to the contrary, but truth and facts have never stopped Democrats.
So after all this talk about the importance of impeaching the president and removing him from office, Nancy Pelosi won’t even hand the articles over to the Senate. This reflects very poorly on not only the Speaker, but also the entire House of Representatives.
On Friday, GOP Sen. Tim Scott called out Pelosi and the House, while maintaining that Mitch McConnell should not allow the House Speaker to manipulate the Senate, per reports from Breitbart News.
Reviewing Tim Scott’s Message About the House
When speaking with Fox News‘ Laura Ingraham, Scott cited the House’s impeachment proceedings as “wacky.” The senator then went on to point out that Pelosi isn’t taking the proceedings seriously and feels worried that the Senate will expose just how “terrible” of a practice the House engaged in. Scott’s remarks about the Speaker come as Pelosi attempts to make demands on how the Senate should hold a trial.
Later in the interview, the Republican senator directly stated that under no circumstances should Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell allow Pelosi to have a say in the matter.
Scott encouraged McConnell to “stick to his guns” and ensure that the Speaker continues to lack influence in the Senate. Shortly thereafter, Scott confirmed that members of the Senate will continue confirming judges and working to further the U.S. economy.
Mounting Criticism Against the House Speaker
As Pelosi continues hoarding the impeachment articles, she’s facing more and more backlash. President Trump has spoken out against her on multiple occasions, as have Republicans in both the House and the Senate.
Quite frankly, the impeachment against the 45th president is the weakest and thinnest in history. It will die one way or another; however, by keeping the articles, Pelosi is proving to Americans that the House’s proceedings were nothing but pure politics.
If the House Speaker truly believed all the accusations that she’s made against this president, she’d be rushing to get impeachment articles on over to the Senate.
