Massive Trump Move Sticks It To Iran

Earlier today, President Trump announced his decision to classify the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a foreign terrorist organization.

The president’s decision in this matter comes as the IRGC maintains its deep and extensive ties to terrorism and organized crime as documented by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Everything To Know about the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps

News regarding President Trump’s new classification of the IRGC came in his following public statement:

“Today, I am formally announcing my administration’s plan to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), including its Qods Force, as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) under Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act. The IRGC actively participates in, finances, and promotes terrorism as a tool of statecraft.  The IRGC is the Iranian government’s primary means of directing and implementing its global terrorist campaign. We will continue to increase financial pressure and raise the costs on the Iranian regime for its support of terrorist activity until it abandons its malign and outlaw behavior.”

The new sanctions being placed on Iran are notable strict; entities which chose to conduct business dealings and transactions with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps will also be impacted by the recently imposed sanctions.

Long since its inception, the IRCG has gained a reputation for its involvement in terrorist plots against the United States military. However, the extent of IRCG goes not end here; their organization furthermore provides aid to other groups which regularly participate in acts of terrorism.

The United States Does Not Endorse Terrorism

One of the greatest things about the president’s new sanctions is the message which it sends to the world. The United States does not endorse terrorism and this is not something which we’re going to apologize for.

Under the Obama administration, there was a lot of apologizing for America doing what was in our best interest as a nation. That ended when Donald Trump became elected as the president of the United States.
