The platform of the Democrat Party is based on pretending to have the moral high ground, vilifying dissenting viewpoints, and accusing Republicans of terrible misdeeds. Americans see this all the time as progressives claim that right-wingers hate the poor, when progressives favor policies such as the Green New Deal and Medicare-for-All. The Democrat Party claims that conservatives are racists, but then Democrats classify individuals as collective victims or oppressors based on race.
This con has been running for quite some time and now Democrats are beginning to fall for their own games. Fox News reports that 2020 hopeful Marianne Williamson is shocked to learn that liberals can be “mean” and untruthful. This speaks not only to Williamson’s unfitness to serve as president, but also to her utter naivety as it pertains to American politics. It won’t be shocking if Williamson is the next candidate to drop out of the 2020 race.
Reviewing Williamson’s Statements on Democrats and Politics
Earlier this week, Williamson sat down for an interview with the New Yorker. She talked about her stances on vaccines, the manner in which she plans to challenge the president in a general election, and her thoughts on “love” in the world of politics. During this interview, Williamson expressed amazement at the fact that leftists can be nasty.
In Williamson’s own words:
“I know this sounds naïve, I didn’t think the left was so mean. I didn’t think the left lied like this. I thought the right did that, I thought we were better.”
The 2020 hopeful’s longshot campaign has maintained consistently low poll numbers since its inception. Furthermore, Williamson is one of several presidential candidates who will not appear on the third debate stage later this month. She ultimately failed to meet the thresholds which the DNC has set for candidates who wish to make the upcoming debate stage.
When the Con Backfires
The statements which Williamson made regarding the nature of politics should be very telling to the people of this country. By her own admission, Williamson believed that only “the right” is capable of lies and nastiness.
This vast amount of ignorance is disturbing, especially coming from someone who wants to become the next president of the United States. Democrats should be embarrassed that this person is even running as a candidate within their party.
