The “Make America Great Again” agenda scored an important win on Tuesday.
J.D. Vance, who has been endorsed by President Donald Trump, won the Republican primary in Ohio to run for the United States Senate.
Vance, who is best known publicly for his best-seller, “Hillbilly Elegy”, was wholeheartedly supported by Trump, despite having criticized him severely in the past.
GOP is the ‘MAGA Party’ Now
The Ohio GOP primary race was already called in Vance’s favor as of 9:35 pm local time by The Associated Press, based on a count of 95% of the votes.
He pulled ahead with 32.2%, compared with 23.9% for Josh Mandel, a former state Treasurer of Ohio, and 23.3% for Ohio state Senator Matt Dolan.
The GOP primary victory of J.D. Vance has been widely deemed a litmus test of the strength of President Trump’s position within the Republican Party ahead of the 2022 midterms this fall.
Trump’s endorsement of Vance last month wasn’t unexpected, despite their differences in the past; their relations have been warming up in recent months.
As he reveled in his Republican primary triumph on Tuesday night, J.D. Vance left no doubts as to whose endorsement he had the most to thank for his success.
Vance told the cheering crowd in his headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, that he “absolutely” had to thank President Trump, as cited by The Daily Mail.
The Hillbilly Elegy author, however, made it clear the result is a huge disappointment for the anti-Trump factors and established the GOP as “now the MAGA party.”
The same message came after Tuesday’s vote from POTUS 45’s son, Donald Trump Jr., in a Twitter post.

What you’re witnessing right now in Ohio is the rise of the New Right in America.
J.D. Vance’s victory represents the end of the Old Guard, McCain-Romney wing of the Republican Party.

Ohio’s Republican Party Rallies Behind J.D. Vance
Last fall, Trump made it clear that he would never support Ohio state Senator Matt Dolan in the GOP Senate primary.
Dolan kowtowed to Marxist wokeness by supporting changing the name of the Cleveland Indians to “Cleveland Guardians.”
As they conceded losing the primary race, both Mandel and Dolan announced they themselves are going to endorse MAGA candidate J.D. Vance for the United States Senate.
At the same time, across the aisle, the Ohio Senate primary of the Democratic Party was won easily by Rep. Tim Ryan, who gathered almost 70% of the votes; the race was called in his favor by 8 pm.
His opponents were Traci Johnson and Morgan Harper.
Ohio’s other seat in the US Senate is presently held by a Democrat, Sen. Sherrod Brown. In both the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, the state of Ohio went to Trump.
Also on Tuesday night, Ohio’s incumbent Republican Governor, Mike DeWine, won the primary for reelection in November.
He won 56.9% of the cast votes, while his opponents, Jim Renacci and Joe Blystone, got 25.6% and 15.4%, respectively.
Senator J.D. Vance!

JD Vance and I have debated our differences, and in this hard fought campaign he was successful. Just as I will never quit fighting for Ohio, I now pledge to unite our party and endorse JD Vance to be our next U.S. Senator. pic.twitter.com/1oSMmN6rWA
