For quite some time, leftists have attempted to categorize individuals in America based on race. This is done in order for the Democrat Party to maintain their power and keep people struggling just enough to where they’ll vote for the party which paints themselves as heroes who pretend to care about the plights in various individuals’ lives. The good news is that more and more Americans are starting to see through it.

On Saturday, rap star Kanye West spoke out against the leftist notion that black people cannot like President Trump or support the Republican Party. Breitbart News reports that West slammed the aforementioned notion as “mental slavery” and accurately stated that Republicans are the ones who freed the slaves. West delivered these remarks and more in Utah while giving a sermon.
A Closer Look at West’s Statements on Mental Slavery and Politics
During West’s sermon, he spoke to an audience of roughly 7,000 to 10,000 individuals. The rap star has previously backed President Trump; in 2017, West actually went to Trump Tower to shake Trump’s hand and officially meet him. Since then, West has visited the White House in order to have conversations with the president.
The rapper shed some light on real issues. He also busted a series of Democrat narratives which paint Republicans as these evil racists and state that people of color shouldn’t support the president. West has also priorly spoken out against the existence of left-wing groupthink and the basis in which people are allowed to make political decisions.
In West’s own words:
“The Republican Party freed the slaves. People want to call me a coon because I chose my right. And we got the right, right? We got a right to our opinions, right? You black, so you can’t like Trump? I ain’t never made a decision only based on my color. That’s a form of slavery, mental slavery!”

At this point, it’s a pretty well-established fact that Democrats, progressives, and other left-wingers rely upon mental slavery. This is why Democrats constantly launch character assassinations against political opponents, rather than simply articulating why they believe their own ideas are better.

Furthermore, it is not uncommon for leftists to be amazed when people of color do support President Trump and/or the Republican Party. For as much as it pains the Democrat Party, they don’t own the minority vote or voters of color. West’s message on not making choices solely on the basis of color is a message that leftists truly need to hear and internalize.
