On Sunday, massive groups of people gathered together in downtown Los Angeles in order to attend and celebrate the BLEXIT movement, according to The Daily Caller News Foundation.
BLEXIT, in essence, is a political movement which centers around freedom from fear, a declaration of independence, and moreover, the promotion of the black exit from the Democrat Party.
An Overview of the BLEXIT Conference
According to the BLEXIT website, their mission statement is as follows:
“BLEXIT is a frequency for those who have released themselves from the political orthodoxy. It is a rebellion led by Americans wishing to disrupt the simulation of fear. BLEXIT is a renaissance. It is our formal declaration of independence.”
Conservative activist Candace Owens furthermore spoke out about the movement and how it pertains to black Americans:
“Blexit is the black exit from the Democratic Party. It’s the black exit from permanent victimhood, the black exit from the false idea that we are somehow separate from the rest of America.”
This weekend’s past event included a variety of speakers who encourage free thought. Ann Coulter, Larry Elder, Charlie Kirk, and David Harris Jr. each delivered remarks. Attendees showed their support by donning red Make America Great Again hats and wearing shirts with politically charged messages.
The Black Exit from the Democrat Party
BLEXIT comes at a time where more and more Americans are starting to look at the Democrat Party and what they truly stand for. Democrats claim to be the champions of minorities, but are they really? Victimhood, telling people that their skin color is inherent oppression, etc are not exactly empowering values or beliefs. When you’re constantly telling minority groups that they’re at a disadvantage, when you purport that minorities are helpless victims of external circumstances, you’re doing them a major disservice.
More and more Americans are beginning to wake up to these truths and embrace freedom instead of fear.
