On Tuesday, House Democrats decided to shield Hunter Biden from an investigation into the alleged influence-peddling activities uncovered by his misplaced laptop.
Rep. James Comer’s “resolution of inquiry” was voted down by the House Oversight Committee on a strict party-line basis.
The request followed a constant flow of texts and emails from the computer that seemed to incriminate President Biden’s son and one of his siblings, as well as raise concerns about what Biden knew concerning potential misconduct.
The Democrats blocked any inquiry into the influence peddling scheme of Hunter Biden. If Republicans take the House as expected in the midterms, the Democrats now effectively took ownership of Hunter — a political proprietary claim that few would relish. https://t.co/GyhncHndlD

Protecting Corruption
After the vote, Comer stated Democrats continue their synchronized effort to protect a potentially tainted president. The congressman from Kentucky warned the laptop’s contents render the whole Biden family a national security hazard.
The device, which was left at a repair shop in Wilmington, Delaware, has images, videos, emails, and text messages that portray the president’s son as a drug-addled, corrupt deviant.
They raise disturbing questions about President Biden’s complicity in his son’s illegal transactions. Before the vote, Comer stated Biden’s family sells access to the highest echelons of government to profit themselves, frequently to the detriment of U.S. interests.
He stated they must determine whether Biden profited from these murky international business relationships. If Biden or his close family members have, this poses a concern to national security and he may be tainted.
The vote in the House occurred after 33 Republican senators requested Attorney General Merrick Garland designate a special counsel to investigate the situation.
While Democrats have been able to cover the Bidens for the time being, if Republicans win the House and possibly the Senate in November, a congressional probe looks all but inevitable.
Compromised
Jonathan Turley, a professor of law at George Washington University, stated on his blog that even if no crimes were committed, the international dealings of Hunter and his uncle were obviously corrupt.
They used their connection to Joe Biden to obtain windfall sums from governments and surrogates. There is no justification for refusing to investigate a program aimed to influence U.S. policy and policymakers on good faith grounds.
During his father’s tenure as vice president from 2008 to 2016, Hunter joined him on international tours, making lucrative deals with energy corporations and businessmen in China and Ukraine.
OK, it's the scum. Joe Biden started arming Ukraine in 2007. Hunter Biden started meddling in Ukraine 2015. He built biolabs in Ukraine. Hunter the idiot forgot to remove everything from his laptop This is Joe Bidens personal vendetta! People need to wake up We are funding US https://t.co/OwJsn7bifV

In an interview broadcast Sunday on CBS News’ “60 Minutes,” President Biden stated his son’s actions had no impact on national security.
Whistleblowers from the FBI informed Republican legislators that the bureau’s top brass terminated all investigations into the laptop it seized in late 2019, so as not to impact the 2020 election.
79% of Americans, according to a recent study by Technometrica Institute of Policy and Politics, feel President Trump would have won re-election if they learned about the information on Hunter’s laptop.
The traditional media parroted Democratic accusations that the laptop, which was initially disclosed by the New York Post, was part of a Russian propaganda effort.
In recent months, however, media publications such as New York Times and Washington Post reluctantly acknowledged the laptop is genuine, despite not having performed substantive reporting on its contents.
