Amid disputes and litigation surrounding the 2020 presidential election, Americans have heard a lot from lawyer Sidney Powell.
Powell once appeared at a press conference with Trump’s attorneys to discuss their legal fight against voter fraud. Days after this event, the president’s legal team issued a statement declaring that Powell is not representing Trump, nor is she working with his lawyers.

Undeterred, Powell has continued forward. She’s also appeared on various TV networks to discuss her lawsuits. The attorney moreover promised “biblical” results to overturn election fraud and deliver a victory to President Trump in the 2020 race.
Yesterday, a federal judge in Georgia threw out Powell’s grand “Kraken” lawsuit, according to Washington Examiner.

What to Know About Powell’s Tossed “Kraken” Lawsuit

In essence, decertifying Georgia’s election results was the objective of Powell’s lawsuit. To make this happen, the attorney professed to have a plethora of evidence proving extensive and systemic voter fraud.

On Monday, the “Kraken” did not deliver what Powell claimed it would. Federal Judge Timothy Batten stated that Powell simply failed to submit the “standing” to back up her claims. Additional factors in the dismissal of Powell’s lawsuit included the timeliness of submission and the pursuit of the case in federal court, rather than state court.

What to Expect Next from Powell

The toss of the “Kraken” lawsuit has not discouraged Powell in the slightest. Following the ruling from Judge Batten, Powell announced that she will continue with litigation and move to have her case heard by the U.S. Supreme Court.
News about the tossed suit triggered mixed feedback from Americans on social media. Critics of the president seized this opportunity to write off all claims of voter fraud as meritless; however, Americans with serious concerns about the election outcome stated that the fight isn’t over yet.

Conservatives also made a point of noting that lower courts which toss lawsuits simply pave the way for attorneys to bring their cases before the Supreme Court. This is something that multiple legal representatives of President Trump have openly discussed doing.
News about Powell’s tossed lawsuit in Georgia also arrived as the state recertified its election results with Joe Biden as the declared winner.
