Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, is one of the fastest rising stars within the Republican Party.

DeSantis’ leadership has allowed Florida’s economy to thrive and grow, even in spite of shutdowns in other states. The Republican governor also made it a priority to prohibit critical race theory in schools, bar the local enforcement of mask mandates, and value individual freedoms over government control.

Last month, Governor DeSantis signed an executive order prohibiting the Florida government and private sector from requiring vaccine passports. The Florida state legislature is also in the process of turning DeSantis’ executive order into a law.

During a recent interview, the Florida governor firmly rejected Marxism and untrue leftist claims of “systemic racism” in America, Breitbart News reports.

The Florida Governor on Radical Leftism and Marxism

Towards the end of last month, DeSantis spoke with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham. During this interview, the Florida GOP governor pushed back against the demonstrably false claim that America is systemically racist.

DeSantis described claims of “systemic racism” as horse excrement. After pointing out the vast opportunity that still exists in this nation, the Florida governor stated that despite anyone’s ancestry, their success is possible here in the United States.

Shortly thereafter, DeSantis further dismantled leftist allegations of systemic racism by referring to these claims as a “Marxist-type” view. The Republican governor of Florida later explained that treating Americans as individuals, rather than merely parts of a collective, is how the Sunshine State will lead.

The Danger of Marxism in the United States

Governor DeSantis’ warning about Marxism is one that Americans should closely heed. After all, Marxism is the ultimate goal of the political left; this is why leftists continue to assert that all of America’s systems, societal functions, etc., are hopelessly plagued by racism.

The leftist endgame of Marxism is why Democrats want to trade in the freedoms of the individual for a faux “greater good” of the collective. Therefore, Republicans and conservatives in America are having to fight harder than ever for values like liberty, freedom, and individualism.

Towards the end of April, former President Trump revealed that if he runs for the White House in 2024, DeSantis would be a strong possible running mate.
