Countless Americans have different opinions and outlooks on Dr. Anthony Fauci. Many, if not most, of these perspectives, are linked to partisanship.
Individuals who are Democrats or leftists are likelier to view Fauci in a positive light. For some reason, the left-wing tends to believe that Americans should believe and listen to Fauci, in spite of the many times he’s changed his mind or calling for questionable things like Americans wearing goggles.
Conservatives and Republicans, on the other hand, are likelier to have a more critical outlook on Fauci. Americans with right-of-center leanings are taking note of the many times that Fauci has changed his mind, gotten information wrong, and made nonsensical suggestions.
For some time, President Trump held off on openly criticizing Fauci. However, that all changed on Monday during the president’s phone call with 2020 campaign reporters, per Breitbart News.
The Truth About Dr. Anthony Fauci
During his conference call with reporters for the 2020 campaign, President Trump did not mince words. The 45th president stated that Americans have tired of “Fauci and all these idiots” due to ongoingly incorrect projections on COVID-19.
Trump questioned Fauci’s ability to make sound judgment calls, noting that the doctor once claimed that a travel ban on China was wrong, only to later come out in support of it. Likewise, Fauci also told Americans not to wear face masks, only to later profess that Americans should wear masks and even consider wearing goggles.

All of these issues, and more, are ones that critics of Fauci have pointed out for months. Additionally, in Trump’s conversation with campaign reporters, he explained that Americans want to be “left alone” and are no longer interested in ceaseless coverage about this virus.
Finally, the president informed that had he completely listened to the advice of Fauci, the U.S.’ coronavirus death toll would be at 700,000 or 800,000, rather than the current 220,000.
Will Trump Fire Fauci?
Amid the president’s strong remarks against Fauci, some Americans are wondering whether or not Trump will fire him.
However, in additional phone call remarks, Trump explained that while a “bomb goes off” whenever Fauci goes on air, firing Fauci would cause an even “bigger bomb” to go off.
Trump: People are tired of hearing Fauci & all these idiots, these people who have gotten it wrong.Every time he goes on TV, there's always a bomb, but there's a bigger bomb if you fire him. But Fauci's a disaster I mean this guy, if I listened to him we'd have 500,000 deaths. pic.twitter.com/kRdq7zwGlA

Many Americans who support the president are calling for him to let go of Fauci once and for all. However, due to Fauci’s status as a civil servant, letting him go comes with serious complications.
