2020 Democrat Kamala Harris has tried her hardest to become relevant as a presidential candidate, but it’s just not working out too well for her. Throughout Harris’ time as a candidate, she’s chuckled at President Trump being referred to as “retarded” and been called out by voters for wanting to end private healthcare.
Harris also hasn’t helped her cause by repeatedly going after President Trump in the hopes of getting him to respond to her; Harris took shots at the president during the third primary debate, telling him to “go back to watching Fox News,” and she’s even called upon Twitter to censor him from using their platform.

Most recently, Harris found herself in a Twitter back-and-forth with Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son. Don Jr. and Harris sparred over the latter’s tendency to laugh loudly and intensely at her own jokes even when the situation doesn’t demand it. As you can imagine, Don Jr. wound up winning the match, much to the chagrin of Harris.
What Happened on Twitter?
The confrontation between Don Jr. and Harris began when the first son posed a question about the presidential candidate. In a nutshell, Don Jr. asked about why Harris has a habit of laughing at her own remarks, even when others aren’t laughing. This is something which Harris does quite frequently, presumably as a way to get through awkward moments or experiences.
In Don Jr.’s tweet, he also shared a video of Harris laughing after being asked a question by someone in an audience:
Harris didn’t care too much for this; instead of answering the question, she responded to Don Jr. and claimed that he “wouldn’t know a joke if it raised [him].” This was clearly a dig at both Don Jr. and President Trump. This shouldn’t really come as a shock because, as priorly noted, Harris has spent much of her campaign going after the president, even as he refuses to acknowledge her.
At this point, Don Jr. pulled a screenshot of Real Clear Politics poll numbers and posted it. In the screenshot, you can clearly see that Kamala Harris is consistently a fifth-place candidate. Thus far, she’s being beaten by fellow contenders Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg.
The president’s eldest son captioned the screenshot of the data by informing Harris that poll numbers indicate her entire campaign is a joke.
After this, Harris declined to respond to Don Jr.
Why Harris’ Presidential Campaign is Failing
There are a series of reasons behind the lack of success which plagues Kamala Harris’ 2020 presidential campaign. Poor policies, a lack of connection with voters, and the desperate attempts to get the president to notice her are just a few of countless reasons.

Instead of supporting policies that would actually help Americans, Harris is all about expanding government in the lives of Americans. Then again, she is a Democrat, so it makes sense that horrible policies are what she feels drawn to as a politician. One thing is for certain, however; at some point, Kamala Harris will be forced to announce the end of her presidential campaign.
It’s only a matter of time.
