Cory Booker's Super PAC Crumbles

Funding is a significant factor in running a presidential campaign. Without the necessary capital, no one can stay in a race for very long, regardless of how great they think their ideas are.

This is why many candidates sell merchandise, go to fundraising events, and even accept money from super PACs. Contenders who can afford to do so will also sometimes avoid super PAC funding for the sake of running a “grassroots” campaign.

2020 Democrat Cory Booker does not fall into that category. As a matter of fact, Booker has experienced a series of money scares which threatened his ability to remain in the 2020 presidential election. While he’s managed to scrape together the necessary capital, new reports from Breitbart News state that Booker might be back in hot water.

Dream United, a super PAC created for the purpose of funding Booker’s presidential campaign, is now shutting down.

Reviewing the Failure of Dream United

The closure of Booker’s campaign super PAC comes after a series of unsuccessful attempts to raise money. This is actually quite ironic, considering that Booker himself has publicly spoken out against the use of super PACs and their very nature.

Of course, when the 2020 Democrat’s campaign began to appear as though it were on its last leg, Booker didn’t hesitate to reconsider his stance. This all simply goes to show how Democrats will say anything to make themselves appear noble and above it all.

When Dream United was founded, this occurred with the goal of raising $10 million dollars. The PAC has fallen short by massive multiples, only bringing in roughly $1.1 million dollars within six months.

What’s Next for Funding Booker’s Campaign?

It appears as though Booker will continue seeking donations, selling merchandise, and employing additional measures to raise money for his presidential campaign. If these means fail to render success, then it’s a very real possibility that Booker will be the next candidate to drop out of the 2020 presidential election.

Quite frankly, seeing Booker bow out of this election would be long overdue. He brings nothing new or unique to the race; moreover, Booker is all for policies which will increase government control and decrease individual liberties. The last place he should be is anywhere near the Oval Office.
