The Democrat Party’s favor of government-sanctioned illegal immigration is not new.
Following the 2016 presidential election, and President Trump’s successful campaign which largely centered on the perils of illegal immigration, Democrats lost their minds. In order to be as polar opposite to the president as possible, leftists began attacking Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers; the left also took it upon themselves to assert that unlawfully crossing the Southern border shouldn’t be considered a crime after all.

Now, with the 2020 presidential election upon us, the Democrat Party is continuing to campaign on open borders and lawlessness.
On Monday, 2020 candidate Cory Booker professed that he’d “put a pause on” deporting illegal aliens if he’s elected as president, per reports from Breitbart News. Booker’s remarks on illegal immigration come as he’s taken multiple direct shots at the president; last month, the 2020 Democrat even professed an interest in “looking down” at Trump on a general election debate stage.
Why Cory Booker Favors Lawlessness at the Border
During his remarks yesterday, Booker accused Trump of attempting to “deputize local police officers” and stated that the president’s immigration laws conflict with U.S. values.
Parroting more far-left talking points, the 2020 Democrat went on to claim that deporting illegal aliens doesn’t coincide with America’s safety, security, values, or economic livelihood. Of course, unlawful immigration is what conflicts with the aforementioned tenets, but Booker has a very clear agenda to push here.
Booker and other Democrats favor lawlessness at the border because it goes against President Trump’s support of law and order. The left’s obsession with “resisting” Trump runs so deeply that they’d rather see crime run amok in America than see this country thrive under the president’s leadership.
This type of twisted, left-wing mindset is why Democrats are constantly accused of suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Keeping Democrats Out of the White House
At this point, the left isn’t even pretending to have the best interests of America at heart. This is one of many reasons why keeping Democrats out of the White House is so imperative.

Whether the left realizes it or not, they’ve truly shot themselves in the foot, especially during this 2020 election. Not one of their radical policies stands a chance of holding up in a general election; moreover, Democrats’ insistence upon forcing their sham impeachment is only hurting their party.
In the desperation and hysteria to “resist” the president, leftists have simply played themselves and done irreversible damage to their own party.
