Can Political Rivals Unite for Dialogue and Common Values?

Minnesota’s Democrat Governor Tim Walz tried to mock Texas by inviting its residents to relocate to his so-called “free state”—but Senator Ted Cruz fired back with a reality check that left Walz reeling. From riots and rising crime to mask mandates and gun grabs, Cruz exposed the liberal failures that turned Minnesota into a cautionary tale, not a sanctuary.

Cruz Calls Out Walz: “You Let Your State Burn”

When Walz boasted that Texans should flee to Minnesota for more “freedom,” Ted Cruz scorched him with one brutal line:
“Tim, you let your state burn to the ground as you opened a hotline to encourage Minnesotans to snitch on each other for not wearing a mask.”

Cruz was referencing the George Floyd riots, where Minneapolis descended into chaos under Walz’s watch. Instead of restoring law and order, Walz stood by as radicals torched businesses and terrorized neighborhoods. Meanwhile, his administration urged citizens to report neighbors over minor COVID violations.

That’s not freedom—it’s soft tyranny.

Gun Control Push Hijacks Personal Tragedy

Walz doubled down during the Vice Presidential debate, using a personal story about his son witnessing a shooting to push red flag laws and expanded background checks. But JD Vance cut through the emotion with facts, showing that disarming law-abiding Americans isn’t the answer.

“I’m sorry about what your son went through,” Vance said. “But let’s talk about mental health, school security, and the real root causes of violence.”
Vance stayed grounded in conservative solutions, while Walz tried to leverage tragedy for more gun control.

Democrats Pour Millions into Texas, Still Can’t Beat Cruz

With Walz’s name being floated for a 2028 presidential run, his sudden attacks on Texas and Republicans appear calculated. But Texans aren’t buying it.

Senate Democrats are pouring millions into Congressman Colin Allred’s campaign to try to flip Cruz’s seat in 2024. But despite the media hype, Cruz maintains a steady lead and the Cook Political Report still ranks the race as “Likely Republican.”

Meanwhile, Attorney General Ken Paxton continues defending Texans’ gun rights, vowing to challenge the Texas Supreme Court’s decision allowing the State Fair of Texas to ban firearms.

“This case is not over,” Paxton promised. “Texas law clearly protects the right to bear arms—and I’ll keep fighting to make sure that doesn’t stop at the fairgrounds.”

From calling ICE agents a “modern-day Gestapo” to being tied to a pandemic-era nonprofit fraud scandal, Tim Walz’s record is anything but clean. His invitation to Texans wasn’t just tone-deaf—it was delusional.

Texans know what real freedom looks like. It’s lower taxes, law and order, constitutional rights, and leaders who don’t let their cities burn. No wonder Ted Cruz’s takedown hit so hard—because every word was true.
