Buttigieg Called Out for Pandering to Black Voters

One of the greatest hoaxes of all time is this idea that the Democrat Party has the best interests of minorities, or really any voters, at hand. The truth of the matter is the left panders to various demographics in order to achieve their goals of getting elected and maintaining power. Democrats play different groups against one another; then, when the left’s troubling tactics and methods are censured, they cry racism to avoid responding to real concerns.

At this time, 2020 Democrat Pete Buttigieg is under fire for using stock imagery in order to promote his Douglass Plan. Buttigieg’s Douglass Plan is designed to combat supposed “racial inequality” in America; although the Trump 2020 re-election campaign recently held Buttigieg’s feet to the fire on this, according to Fox News.

Via a statement, Black Voices for Trump slammed Buttigieg’s plan and use of stock imagery as “misleading and presumptuous.” The black outreach group furthermore questioned precisely what Buttigieg has done for black Americans.

Holding Buttigieg Accountable

In recent weeks, Buttigieg has risen in the polls, with one of the latest showing him ahead of Biden, Sanders, and Warren in Iowa. However, the South Bend mayor certainly hasn’t escaped criticism; some Americans have noted Buttigieg’s struggle with reaching minority voters and the methods which the 2020 Democrat has employed to rectify this struggle.

Since facing censure from President Trump’s re-election campaign, Buttigieg has attempted to clean things up. Nina Smith, a spokeswoman for Buttigieg’s 2020 campaign, defended the Douglass Plan in a statement to the press.

Smith maintained that the program was “developed with black leaders and activists” and will engender “unprecedented investments” in education, criminal justice, business ownership, healthcare, and homeownership. As a spokeswoman for the Buttigieg 2020 campaign, Smith also professed that her boss is the one who will “[stand] across from Donald Trump on the debate stage next fall.”

Buttigieg’s Douglass Plan has also faced backlash from certain fellow 2020 Democrats, including Kamala Harris.

Policies Speak Louder Than Rhetoric

One of the most common talking points of the Democrats is their professed desire for being the allies of minorities. Of course, the facts simply don’t bear this out; the reality is that left-wing policies are extremely disadvantageous to all groups of Americans.

Raising taxes, decriminalizing illegal immigration, socializing healthcare, infringing upon the Second Amendment, etc. hurts everyone across the board. If Buttigieg truly wants to empower Americans and reach minority voters along with others, he should start by taking a good, hard look at his policies.
