The recently-passed South Carolina primary is already having some interesting effects on the 2020 presidential election. First and foremost, the state’s primary prompted the exit of now-former Democrat candidate Tom Steyer. Additionally, the South Carolina primary put an end to Bernie Sanders’ winning streak. Now, the upcoming votes that Democrats are focusing on are this week’s Super Tuesday.

Former Vice President Joe Biden turned out to be the winner of the South Carolina primary election, as documented by Breitbart News. Biden’s win also came after leading in the state’s primary poll for quite some time.
This is the first primary in which the 2020 Democrat has managed to secure a victory; he struggled in not only the Iowa and Nevada caucuses, but also in the New Hampshire primary after repeatedly insulting voters.
A Closer Look at Biden’s Victory in South Carolina
The former vice president’s win seemed to even shock himself. In the days leading up to Saturday, Biden backed off from a previous assertion in which he branded South Carolina as his “firewall.” However, after the results of the primary came in, the Democrat candidate resumed his facade of confidence and publically spoke with his supporters.
According to the former vice president, he believes that winning the nomination will ensure that Trump doesn’t get a second term in office. This statement comes merely days after yet another gaffe from Biden where he claimed to be running for the “United States Senate” rather than the presidency. Between insulting voters across America and making various, critical blunders, the former vice president has not maintained a smooth campaign.
Observers of Biden’s speech yesterday also noted that the 77-year-old employed a Southern accent while speaking with South Carolinians. Precisely what prompted Biden to shift dialects remains unknown; however, this wouldn’t be the first time that a Democrat put on airs or faked accents in order to boost their political campaign.
Will Biden Win the Nomination?
Super Tuesday will provide more insight into whether or not Joe Biden truly stands a chance at winning the Democrat Party’s nomination. Thus far, the former vice president still has to play catch-up with Sanders, despite ending the latter’s straight winning streak of various states.

The one thing Biden may have going for him is the Democrat establishment’s opposition to Bernie Sanders as their nominee. Thus far, the former vice president and fellow contender Mike Bloomberg are both being fielded by the leftist elites as potential handpicked nominees. Only time will tell whether or not Biden, Bloomberg, Sanders, or another candidate altogether wins the nomination.
