President Biden, since taking office, has had countless opportunities to stand by his promises of bipartisanship. Thus far, the Democrat president continues to fall short. Biden says he wants Republicans to back his policies; in actuality, though, the president wants Democrats in Congress to pass his policies whether Republicans like it or not.

On Thursday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy gave a very interesting press conference. The GOP leader discussed a series of matters facing the nation at hand; however, one segment of his conference especially stood out.

According to Breitbart News, McCarthy informed reporters that despite him requesting multiple meetings with President Biden, the Democrat has consistently refused to respond.

Will Biden Ever Take a Meeting with Leader McCarthy?

The House Minority Leader stated yesterday that he’s sought multiple meetings with President Biden on the border crisis. McCarthy also informed that he would like to convene with Biden, just as he met with President Trump during the 45th president’s time in office.

A meeting with McCarthy would be a great chance for Biden to put his actions where his rhetoric is on bipartisanship. However, the Democrat president will not sit down with the Republican House leader. McCarthy stated that he previously spoke with Biden when the latter was vice president, but not since he’s been sworn in as president.

Finally, McCarthy declared that he doesn’t truly believe that President Biden is serious about bipartisanship.

Hyper Partisan Policies from the Biden Administration

For all of President Biden’s talk about bipartisanship, he hasn’t introduced a single policy that could realistically garner support from both Democrats and Republicans.

Right now, the bill that Biden is working to portray as an infrastructure package is nothing more than a giant tax hike. The American Jobs Plan would ironically cost Americans jobs; it would also cause more workers to lose money at a time when the U.S. economy is in a delicate position.

Days ago, Biden met with a group of Republican and Democrat lawmakers; however, the president has not made any changes to his bill. He hasn’t changed the fact that less than 7% of his “infrastructure” package is related to infrastructure projects.
