Within the past week, two horrific shootings have taken place in America; one happened in Georgia, whereas the other took place in Colorado.

Right now, the loss of life is being mourned. People who knew the victims of the shootings are especially grieving and going through rough patches; furthermore, rallies against anti-Asian sentiment amid COVID-19 are also underway.

Unfortunately, though, Democrats are already politicizing both of the aforementioned shootings. In a nutshell, the left is using these tragedies as a means to pass more gun control restrictions through Congress.

According to Breitbart News, President Biden is even considering passing gun control laws via executive order.

The Leftist Agenda to Curtail Second Amendment Rights

Several weeks ago, Biden instructed Democrats in Congress to put a move on gun control legislation. Apparently, though, the president is eager to speed up his all-out assault on Second Amendment rights.

On Tuesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki informed the the media that President Biden is reviewing a “range of levers” to implement nationwide gun control. Psaki also confirmed that these potential “levers” do include executive action on gun control.

Yesterday, Biden furthermore called for an ban on “assault weapons,” stating that it’s something America has done before and ought to do again. Additional remarks from the president’s press secretary state that he won’t “allow for obstruction” in his quest to implement gun control.

This, in layman’s terms, means that Biden has no intention of listening to or working with Republicans. Once again, this president and his congressional Democrat allies will do everything in their power to ram thorugh gun control bills, despite Republicans’ objections.

Can Biden Implement Gun Control via Executive Action?

Questions about whether or not Biden has the legal and constitutional authority to use executive orders for gun control have already come up.

Many conservatives and gun rights advocates believe that Biden does not have this power, even as president. Therefore, it stands to reason that lawsuits will likely emerge, should Biden attempt to employ executive action on gun control.

Each time after a mass shooting happens, Democrats immediately call for gun control, even before knowing all the facts. As this plays out time and time again, it doesn’t bode well for the bipartisan work across the aisle that President Biden has talked about, yet failed to follow through on.
