In politics, birds of a feather truly do flock together…and so do socialists. There’s nothing more apparent of this pattern than the political alliance between House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders.
Both Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez are extremely far-left socialists; they both support Medicare-for-All, the erasure of private healthcare, and the erosion of capitalism. Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez are furthermore known for making hateful and dishonest remarks regarding President Trump.

In light of all this, it should come as no shock that the congresswoman chose to endorse Bernie Sanders for president of the United States yesterday. Per documentation from Breitbart News, Ocasio-Cortez appeared at Sanders’ rally in New York yesterday and officially gave her endorsement.
What You Need to Know about AOC’s Endorsement of Sanders
When Ocasio-Cortez spoke before Sanders’ rally of misguided supporters, she told a story. The congresswoman declared that she views Sanders as an “uncle.” Moreover, she stated that the presidential candidate’s “grassroots campaign” inspired her to run for office before praising Sanders’ promises to end student loan debt.

Like all socialists, Sanders and AOC alike are selling fantasies to Americans who support them. It’s unfortunate that so many people fall hook, line, and sinker for the claims and anecdotal tales of these far-left socialists.

“The only reason that I had any hope in launching a long-shot campaign for Congress is because Bernie Sanders proved that you can run a grassroots campaign and win. […] When I was a waitress, and when it was time for me to graduate college with student debt, Bernie Sanders was one of the only ones that said no person should be graduating with life-crushing debt. […]We right now have one of the best Democratic presidential primary fields in a generation, and much of that is thanks to work that Bernie Sanders has done in his entire life!”

The Perils of an Almighty Government
One of the most common talking points from Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is that people “deserve” housing, healthcare, education, and a “living wage.” What they won’t tell you is that earning these things on your own is infinitely better than having them given to you by the almighty government.
Government is the problem, not the solution. Moreover, what government gives, it can also take away. This is something which many folks need to be mindful of as they internalize the rhetoric coming from these radical socialists.
Socialism, throughout history, has always failed. Then, after it fails, Democrats claim that it wasn’t “real” socialism and that we all need to try it again. This is a toxic, deadly path which Americans cannot go down. Thankfully, Democrats are turning out to be their own undoing by embracing, radical, far-left policies which will never fly in a general election.
