Debates about the safety of Americans’ getting back to work is another highly contentious matter at this point in the nation.
To date, there are some people who continue to maintain that getting Americans back to work and school is just too dangerous. Persons with this outlook argue that there’s an unnecessary risk of spreading coronavirus if everyone rushes into things too quickly.
On the other side of this argument are Americans who favor cautious, measured, and mitigation-friendly approaches to getting back to work and life. As this debate goes on, many folks remain out of work; furthermore, economists are already projecting that even more Americans will lose jobs before 2021 arrives.
This could explain why nearly 60% of Americans are in favor of getting back to work, according to Breitbart News.
A Closer Look at Where Americans Stand on Returning to Work
According to a new survey from NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist, 58% of the country wants to return to their jobs, businesses, and work.
One of the most remarkable aspects of this survey is the across-the-board consistency. Americans of all races, socioeconomic statuses, generations, ages, both genders, etc. are overwhelmingly supportive of returning to work.

While 84% of GOP members share this outlook for getting the nation back to work, only 33% of Democrats favor a return to work for the American people. As many as 53% of Democrats are opposed to folks returning to their jobs.
America’s remarkable support for getting back to work arrives as many people struggle to remain financially afloat. Even with stimulus payments from the government, certain folks are barely making it and many businesses are still fighting to stay functional.
Why Are Democrats Against Americans Getting Back to Work?
Right now, there are several running theories regarding Democrats’ interest in barring Americans from getting back to work. Some conservative pundits have suggested that a struggling, unhappy country is likelier to vote for change, hence increasing Biden’s chances of winning in November.

Others believe that Democrats are using the joblessness crisis to usher in a larger, socialist government. As many Americans already know, Democrats fought tooth and nail for $600 per week payments, despite the negative impacts that this can have on small businesses.
Republicans repeatedly warned that when government handouts are larger than Americans’ paychecks, this actually discourages people from getting back to work.
